SIP Trunking
What is SIP Trunking?
SIP Trunking (Session Initiation Protocol trunking) is a service that connects your company’s phone system to a telecom operator over the Internet Protocol. It replaces traditional analogue or ISDN lines and enables voice and video calls over an IP network.
It is designed for business users who have their own SIP-compatible phone system (IP-PBX). You keep your phone system and change only the way it connects to the public telephone network – with lower costs and more flexible rental of voice channels.
Why SIP Trunking?
Instead of ISDN and E1 lines
Your existing phone system, a modern connection
The key advantage of SIP Trunking over the protocols that used to dominate (ISDN, E1/T1) is that it combines voice and data over the same access. Voice quality stays the same, while you make significant infrastructure savings and get a far more flexible model for renting voice channels.
Keep your phone system
Your existing IP-PBX remains the foundation of the system – no new equipment and no change in the way your employees work.
Everything over one connection
You send several types of data over one connection, which increases productivity and makes better use of network capacity.
No maintenance costs
You expand your telephone network as your business requires, without unnecessary line maintenance costs.
