What does Yeastar certification mean?
Yeastar is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of business phone systems, and its PBXs are used both in the cloud and on premises. Through its ITSP partner programme, Yeastar checks that a provider’s SIP trunks work correctly with its phone systems – from registration and outgoing and incoming calls to codecs and the transmission of touch tones.
For users, this means peace of mind: Signum’s SIP trunk and Yeastar phone systems are proven to work together, with no guesswork about settings and no surprises after switching.
What was tested
- Trunk type: register-based trunk, on all Yeastar phone system models.
- Codecs: G.711 (alaw and ulaw), G.722 for HD voice and G.729 to save bandwidth.
- Touch tones (DTMF): RFC2833, SIP INFO and inband – so IVR menus and PIN entry work reliably.
Yeastar has also published a guide to setting up a register-based SIP trunk (using a P-Series PBX as an example), so connecting Signum’s trunk to your phone system takes just a few minutes.
Who is this for?
